Corbin Bosch was selected by Peshawar Zalmi in the Diamond category during the PSL 2025 Draft. As per the contract, he was required to be available for the entire season. However, he unexpectedly pulled out of PSL and signed with Mumbai Indians as a replacement for the injured Lizaad Williams in the IPL.

PCB issued a legal notice to Bosch's agent and strongly condemned his actions. The board stated that withdrawing from a signed contract without prior notice is not only unprofessional but also a serious violation of league regulations.
PCB has demanded an explanation from Bosch within a stipulated time. If he fails to respond satisfactorily, legal action could be taken, including a ban on his future participation in PSL.
This controversy has arisen due to the overlapping schedules of PSL 2025 and IPL 2025. PSL’s 10th season is set to run from April 11 to May 25, 2025, while IPL will take place from March 22 to May 25, 2025. Due to this scheduling conflict, several foreign players have prioritized IPL over PSL.
The Importance of Contractual Commitments in Cricket
The significance of sticking to contracts in professional cricket is brought to light by this incident. Global T20 leagues, including PSL, are increasingly implementing strict measures to ensure that players do not back out of contracts without valid reasons. If Bosch is punished severely, it could set an example for other players to follow through on their contractual commitments.
